Nutrition

Produce can dramatically lose its nutritional qualities as time passes after harvest.   Buying locally grown produce at its freshest assures you the most nutritious product.

Support the local community

Buying locally grown food supports your local economy.    Currently, the farmer only earns a fraction on every dollar of product he or she grows.  Buying locally keeps small farms in business and supports your community.

Energy Conservation

Buying locally grown foods decreases dependence on petroleum.  One fifth of all petroleum now used in the US is used in Agriculture.  Buying locally conserves energy at the distribution level.

The Nuts and Bolts

Share cost is $550 for 22 weeks.   Each week you will pick up your share of freshly picked vegetables and greens.   The choice of produce will be made by what is currently being harvested. While vegetable consumption varies, on average a share will provide vegetables for a non vegetarian family of four.

Deposit of $150 is due by 04/01/11.

Balance is due by the first day of pick up.   We accept checks, paypal and credit cards.
